"Some interview with Corgan from the 90s I read said that he discarded a bunch of surefire hits when recording Adore to achieve a more consistent feel/ebb and flow for the overall album. Even though this was before Adore (and therefore worthwhile) I assume that's why these songs are so fantastic. It's probably not a matter of the band not feeling they were worthy, but tracks that had to make way for the greater good." He did this throughout his whole career. check out the b-sides from MCIS and have a listen to Machina II.

Although, that said, Starla should definitely have been on a fucking studio album. That shit is phenomenal.

Their most intimate and best record, despite being from disparate albums, this record more than any other, captures the essence of the band perfectly.
