Some might say the brightest flame burn quickest and although ten years is more than a lifetime when it comes to music, truth is that TENPEL still holds the esteemed distinction as being one of those bands revitalizing the pillars of Spanish rock music.

So what, you ask, make TENPEL different? Well, they don’t wear make up, they don’t care about image and they aren’t a here today, gone tomorrow. They definitely rock. Most importantly their music is the proof they still are true to themselves, a non coloured rock capable of deliver a timeless melody line between the fierceness of Cold and the lonely feeling behind Alter Bridge music. A therapy in today’s overpopulated music scene that really stands out and make every single chord, every single riff a memorable moment.

“Areté Despierta”, their debut album, further enunciates the beauty they create. Songs like “Historia de Cuatro Paredes” or “Redimelancolía”, hailed by both critics and fans alike as the band’s best efforts took TENPEL to new grounds, actually leading the band to solidify their fanbase through guest appearances in festivals across the country and numerous tours alongside the likes of grunge legends Pearl Jam, ill Niño, God Forbid or rock monsters Lordi.

And because there is no better indication that greatness can be achieved through a resilient work ethic, in early 2008, TENPEL put out “El Método Silencio”, the EP which makes their last work to date, and probably the band’s most savage and dynamic offering yet. Four songs from the calm-and-then-explodes “Amanecer en la nave” to the heavy riff oriented “Desayuno con Morgan”, exciting enough to satisfy even the most critical of listeners and at the same time a true homage to all the bands that came before them.
