One of the aliases of British-born, Atlanta-based musician and graphic designer, Alan Platten.
He has been making music for a good part of his life… forming an off-kilter pop/indie/dance band, Hive, in the nineties. This gradually morphed into an eclectic electronic dance duo, Dialog>, with Platten at the controls with Andy Smith.
In 2004 he emigrated to Atlanta and took a long musical hiatus, focusing instead on a continuing career in graphic design. In the last year or two the musical beast has re-awoken and he’s getting back into it, learning new tools and working on new material.
He’s also been compiling and mastering a series of ‘retroyoyo’ EP’s of unreleased material from the final Dialog> sessions. These releases can be found to listen or download here: http://music.taoyoyo.com
Andy Smith continued as Dialog> and released ‘Music For imaginary Movies’ in 2006, featuring 6 Platten/Smith co-writes.
