THE PAST
Sunaglare is a five piece rock band from Härnösand, in the northern part of Sweden. The band was formed in 1999 as a cover band, with the main focus to play live and entertain audiences. Covering bands such as Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Silverchair and so on. Soon the band felt that only playing covers weren’t satisfying so the composing and writing begun. Many different music styles have been tested and many songs and demos have been recorded. Now the band has found their style, a mix of diesel smelling rock and a touch of the Seattle 90’s grunge scene.

In 2005 Sunaglare went into the studio and recorded a demo album called Good Intentions?, the album was mainly created to promote the band. During the recording of Good Intentions? , the band was contacted by Peter Hermansson, who played drums in the 80’s rock band 220 Volt. He had seen the band perform live in Stockholm and liked what he’d heard and wanted to collaborate on a few tracks. Sunaglare accepted his offer and two songs were chosen, Troy and Save Yourself. Peter helped out with some recording hints and also got the chance to tell some old tour stories from 220 Volts u.s. tours. Sunaglare have performed many shows in Scandinavia, mainly in Sweden and Norway and opened for bands like The Atomic Bitch Wax (us) and Backdraft (s).

THE PRESENT
At the moment Sunaglare are working on a upcoming five track EP that is planned to be released this spring.
