SoulenginE is an instrumental project born in 2006 in Milan, Italy, which blends 70’s rock and jazz, psychedelia and fusion, progressive and classic music, with a strong “flower power” feeling. The band is formed by four Italian world-renowned musicians:
Ettore Salati - guitars, bass pedals
Fabio Mancini - keyboards, synths
Nando de Luca - bass guitar, acoustic guitar
Giacomo Pacini – drums, percussions
Ettore Salati and Fabio Mancini come from the well-known prog band The Watch, beside having worked in many prog, fusion and jazz projects, and Nando de Luca and James Pacini are well-known session musicians from the Italian rock scene. Their original compositions are surely influenced by progressive rock from the seventies (ELP, Yes, Genesis), jazz-fusion (Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gong), psychedelia (Pink Floyd, Ozric Tentacles), and many other styles and artists, due to their previous musical growing ups.
