slowmotionmovie emerged in the early fall (nothern hemisphere) of 2005. mainly influenced by many of the so-called “shoegazer” and “post-rock” bands of the late 80s through the 90s, slowmotionmovie cites other influential bands including slowdive, arab strap, joy division, pink floyd, can, pale saints, early killing joke, gang of four, chameleons uk, explosions in the sky, film school, godspeed you! black emperor, mogwai and flying saucer attack.

slowmotionmovie’s sound is most characterized by a combination of heavily textured, melodic guitar with driving, feedback laced, distorted guitar sounds. vocals are usually non-existent or minimal and mixed down in the layers of sound.

slowmotionmovie has only one member, is currently unsigned and based in atlanta georgia.
