Not many people have scrobbled puta-pons recently.
Learn more about scrobbling

Unfathomable noise emerged from a pair of blown-out practice amps and guitars in need of repair when the puta-pons (then known as Rhoda) first started annoying their neighbors in 1992. From the muck eventually came a manic pop sound frayed at the edges with angular punk riffs, primal screams, and whacked-out song structures.

In 1998, Becky (bass/vocals) and Shelly (guitar/vocals)—cofounders of the band—left the comforts of their sleepy college town (Madison, WI) and moved to Chicago, IL. After searching far and wide to replace longtime drummer Dave Wade, they had got lucky and found plutonium-powered Doug Meis. After a mere handful of local shows and a quick tour to Portland, OR, the band recorded their first full-length album, “Return to Zero.”

In support of the CD, the puta-pons have been touring the Midwest and East coast throughout the summer and fall of 2001.
