I remember getting in a fight with my ex girlfriend like six years ago and listening to this a bunch of times on the way home and then I kind of forgot about it until now whereupon I remembered this song rules

All post-rock bands sound the same, just as all metal bands sound the same, just as all rap sounds the same, just as etc., etc, etc... Bands of a genre have similar sounds with subtle nuances. Its why people hold to particular genres. I'm a firm believer that music is meant to be felt, not simply heard. I find that to be true with post-rock more than anything else. It's possible to lose oneself in the simplicities and find oneself in the complexities. At face value, the music can seem simple, but the multitudes of beauty crash in like waves once lost in the depth it has to offer. When these bands end up sounding similar, further through the firmament we go. But that's just my humble opinion...

all "post-rock" bands sound the same. I've never heard of these guys, but I've heard the song before.
