peters. were formed in Lübeck, DE and now reside in all over northern germany with Hamburg as their mainstay and platform. Their classic lineup consists of a bass, a guitar, another guitar, drums and vocals and with that they play a mix of posthardcore and indierock that results in a sound that fits just aswell into a new wave record collection as next to an old Rage Against the Machine record, not unlike Hamburg scene pioneers Cpt. Kirk &. Their lyrics are just as neurotic as they are optimistic. The vocal style is sometimes spoken word, then there is singing and then there are screams and shouts and at least one guitar is always on a trip to the land where melodies swing from tree to tree. Some boys just put everything that moves them and their well-formed background togehter here and smack it on the plates of the waiting hordes with a lot of enthusiasm. Their debut album Auffallen durch umfallen was finally (after a couple of years of carefully concealed planning, recording, scraping, fine-tuning and re-recording) released in the spring of 2008 and features a new band member who adds keyboards and percussion (cowbells?) to their setup. They are neither a Hamburger Schule nor a New Rave band.
