Myles Power are an unsigned lo-fi band from Nottingham, England.
Formed in 2006 around ex-Ultranol members Samuel Horton (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals, Programming, Rhythm), Sam Chaplin (Guitarist, Backing Vocals, Keys, Programming) and Matthew Foster (Vocals, Lyrics) Myles Power have been playing together since 2004 and have written and recorded over thirty songs, with an album, sampler, singles and remix project self-recorded and self-released.
Their sound combines a variety of influences, from pop to shoegaze to folk, electronica and post-rock and incorporates harmonized vocals, pretty/ugly guitars and threatening bass to a somewhat songlike effect.
At the moment, Myles Power are on hiatus while the bandmembers focus on other projects including Samuel Horton’s Scattergraff solo project, Sam Chaplin’s Alt-Rock band Mindset and Matt Foster’s folk duo Tiny Blue Boxes all of which are currently active.
