Sounds a bit like Larks' Tongues-era Crimson

The first half is so much win, too bad it doesn't last longer.

I can't think of another song that I like so much in the first half and dislike so much in the second.

The title reminds me of the Bardo Thodol.

This is actually one of my fav songs from the album. It reminds me a lot of Can-Utility and The Coastliners by Genesis... Not in terms of melody, but in how musically varied can be both songs in just about 5 minutes.

of course... such a lovely song-title.. "keep light near you, even when dying..." think about it and the first 2 minutes = maudlin at it's best.

the worst track off the album but still good and worth to be listen it's the most typical maudlin track on the album, besides laboratories, which reminds me of Gleam in Ranks
