This band is now The Manticornio Family Band. Same people, same music, longer name.

Manticornio is the combination of the musical efforts and visions of Sam (The Short Shorts, Cain & Abel, El Intruso) and Daniel (Antilope, Red Herring, El Intruso, HERDS). Friends for years, they had only collaborated once before in high school as The Autumn Lovelies. Sam comes from a dirty punk and yacht rock background, whereas Daniel has played in several traditional folk and Celtic bands in the U.S.A. and Spain. Now, their musical tastes and visions sharper and more developed, they’ve chosen to work together as a semi-improvisational psych-folk project. Relying on both magically whimsical and down-to-earth lyrics, and an electric and acoustic multi-instrumentalism (from feedback-drones, delayed ukelele, psych guitar, to bagpipes), they plan to take the unsuspecting and frankly unprepared Madrid underground scene by surprise. They’ve only just begun.
