Biography
incite/ is the Hamburg-based experimental audiovisual electronics duo of Kera Nagel and André Aspelmeier.
The electronic duo plays bone-dry minmal electronics, fragmented slomo grooves and broken rhythmic arrangements synced with abstract grayscale videos. From the very start, incite/ has defined a highly authentic sound on its own: Fragmented electric junk and fragile bursts of static noise meet with extra-charged sub-bass-kicks in impressive conjunction with the intensity of the meticulously constructed visuals and physical presence of the duo within their projected image. Since the beginning in 2003, live shows were the main focus of incite/. From April 03 through July 07, Kera and André have played more than 100 gigs: tours in Europe and the US, numerous single gigs and international festivals.
They were awarded the following prizes for their performance: WRO07, 12th international media art biennale Wroclaw, Poland, May07 – third prize (best performance) VAD Festival, Girona, Spain, October07 - special prize,
