iClash is an electropop / new wave project by singer/songwriter/musician Jeff Denean Jones. Synth produced, new wave influenced (early OMD, Depeche Mode and Yazoo) and electro inspired, iClash is pop music for the underground. In 2002 Jones moved to Los Angeles after the break up of his band Digital Fix in 2001. L.A.’s Retro/New Wave clubs became a gateway to the underground electroclash scene and electropop music which inspired Jones to develop his automatic new wave / electropop songwriting style. Now free to work on such pop songs as “Can’t Go Back”, “Baby” & “Live & Die”, songs that were in fact inspired by OMD & Depeche Mode’s first albums, Jones says. New songs were written as well like the Erasure-esque “Beautiful Thing” and New Order influenced “New Wave”.
Between 2002 - 2005 Jones has recorded 50 plus songs as iClash. iClash music has been featured on several websites beginning in January, 2003 on MP3.com. 25 iClash produced MP3’s were available for download when the indie musicians’ site closed down a year later to change format. Tracks included “One Way Street”, “Driving Home”, “Rest In Peace”, “Everything”, Jewel”, “Time With You”, “Legacy”, “10000 Miles” & “Last Dance”. Today iClash music is available on over a dozen various sites including music promotion sites like AcidPlanet.com & PureVolume.com or musicians/music lovers/friends networking sites such as the fun & very popular MySpace.com.
