Biography

Drew Wheeler (halc) is a prolific indie chiptune/electronic composer and arranger currently sited in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has contributed many remixes to renowned video game remix website OverClocked ReMix, where he is also a submissions judge.

In addition to his remix work, halc also produces original chiptune and electronic music in a wide variety of styles, including jazzy 9-bit, glitch, dub, dubstep, and electro. In 2011, halc released Pixel Perfect EP (January), Pixel Perfect LP (May), and Trending Topic EP (November). These were followed in 2012 by Zero-G (January), No Song Left Behind (February), Zero-G2: Supernova (March), Hydrocity (July, his first original LP), and Bit.Tape.1 (August).

halc has also released a Pilotwings remix EP entitled Pilotwings: Take Flight through OverClocked ReMix in April 2012 (partly in collaboration with Benjamin Briggs as Insert Rupee), and both Pixel Perfect EPs were remastered and compiled with extra remixes on CD and as a digital download in June 2012 as Pixel Perfect Complete.
