grilly grew up in manchester, initially on a parental diet of ian dury & the blockheads, the smiths, captain beefheart, and shriekback, and made his first home recording at the age of twelve - ‘smoke on the water’ played on a shatterproof ruler.
thirteen years on, he lives in london and produces a lo-fi pigeonhole-ignorant mix inspired by folk, pop, math-core, classical guitar, prog, electronica and grind, which he releases on his own gallowslutt psophtware label and, latterly, ex libris records.
