The funkcartel name is an anagram for the artists real name which also incorporates an abbreviation of the ‘United Nations of Funk’ which is the planned name of their 5th album and also a guise used when dj-ing.

Their style is both diverse and eclectic incorporating elements of both classical and contemporary instrument’s. They generally produce music which would reside in the ambient, chillout and progressive house genre’s but frequently stray across the borders.

despite last.fm members who are recent listeners playing tracks by lamb - massive attack - portishead - afterlife - groove armada - jose padilla - tricky - bjork - tosca - leftfield - aim - zero7 - telepopmusik - thievery corporation and moorcheeba - none of these show up as similar artists - that's because last.fm staff fix these details just like they fix playcount figures

Just added 2 more tracks to the Event Horizon PM album - both pre-release edits - Soulstice is a dub mix - main vocals are removed. Chicago is a 2007 take on the 1986 style created by the likes of marshall jefferson and frankie knuckles who are really rather good doncha think!!!
