Biography

floating.point is a solo project by a Polish-born multinstrumentalist and composer Piotr Szczepaniak. Stylistically it is a mixture of ambient, prog-rock and a movie score…a rather cross-genre sonic experience, blending haunting soundscapes with electric guitars, drums, mellotrons and various synthethic sounds.

On 30th Novemeber 2008 the artist released his very first album, a 27-minute long EP called ‘State Of Denial’.

After a 10-month break, on the 30.08.2009 floating.point finally released a full length album entitled ‘Free Falling’. It is currently available as a (free) digital download and contains 7 tracks (almost 47 minutes of music).

It took a while (almost a year!) before a re-mixed & re-mastered version of ‘Free Falling’ was released. The new CD is available now (trough the artist’s website).
