There are at least 3 bands named Fields:

1) Fields are an Anglo-Icelandic electronic/indie band formed in London comprising Nick Peill (Vocals/Acoustic Guitar/Keyboards), Þórunn Antonía (Vocals/Keyboards/Synths), Henry Spenner (Vocals/Drums), Matty Derham (Bass Guitar) and Jamie Putnam (Electric Guitar).

In early 2006 the band played their first live shows. This sparked a furious bidding war amongst UK record companies. They eventually signed a unique deal with Atlantic Records which allows them to keep releasing records through their own Black Lab Records set-up as well as Atlantic. They are set to record their debut album with legendary producer Michael Beinhorn who has produced the likes of Herbie Hancock, Korn, Mew, Soundgarden and Marilyn Manson.

The band released their debut album, Everything Last Winter, on April 2, 2007.

Fields is set to release thier 2nd album in March 09, the album will be entited Hollow Mountains

2) Fields or The Fields (inside cover) were: Richard Fortunato, lead guitar & vocals, Steven Laguna, percussion & vocals and Patrick Burke, bass guitar & vocals. Vocals backing by Brenda Holloway and the Raylettes. Produced by Bill Rinehard, Engineered by Frank Kejmar/Whitney Studios, Arrangements by Gene Page and Bill Rinehart. Side One: Elysian Fields (3:25), Bide My Time (5:08), Take You Home (3:00), Jump On You (3:18), and Sun Would Set (5:15). Side Two: Love Is the Word (19:50).

A Los Angeles outfit, they were previously known as ESB - Electric String Band. Their eponymous album from 1969 is heavy rock with some psychedelic influence, was produced by ex-Merry-Go-Rounder Bill Rinehart, ESB may previously have been W.C. Fields Memorial Electric Band.

they should still try and release Hollow Mountains if it's done. Self-release it maybe, setup a PayPal or something. As long as the label owns no legal rights, I don't see why Fields couldn't, at least digitally. Many other bands have done that in the past.

There was talk that they were/are looking for a new label, or there was a suggestion that was in the case in a (now deleted) myspace blog which apologised for the tour cancellation. Either way, hopefully we'll hear something soon, it's been too long.
