American / early 70s born producer of experimental and ambient drones and beats. Has worked with artists spanning the globe in many genres - from hip hop and death metal to indie rock and old school electro. Has also produced music for international TV commercials (Nike, adidas, Microsoft. Fuji-Xerox and more) and scored several short films.
Influences include Kraftwerk, Joy Division, Skinny Puppy, Cabaret Voltaire, Front 242, The Orb, Depth Charge, Renegade Soundwave, Twilight Circus Dub Soundsystem, Sister Nancy, Robert Johnson, and Wire - as well as 80s & underground 90s hip hop, math rock, old school electro, jungle and raggacore, instrumental dub (both standard and ill) and a whole messload of other things. Basically, if it has interesting percussion and / or wall of sound drone, it's probably served as inspiration.
Has been living in the Greater Metropolitan Tokyo area for nearly 10 years with his wife and daughter and helps run a creative agency in Shibuya producing audio / visual / interactive / whatever content for blue chip clients who should know better.
Recent musical endeavors have been limited to the occasional live show, where genres can vary greatly (i.e., electro 4/4 dance set which followed a glitch-ridden hip hop session which followed an ambient indie rock set which followed a…) and some remix production here and there.
