There are Djs, whose mixes are listening carefully, who are always in search of new musical lands, whose sets are somelike a microjourneys into sensual worlds. DJ Homo Ludens is definitely one of them. Somewhen his touch became recognized thanks to the fact of mixing sweet deep house tunes from such labels as Naked, Plastic City, etc. His Lovemix series wasn’t unnoticed for those who like sensual and melodic electronic music. Then there was a time of passion of fasionable electro and melodic proghouse, a time of regular performancies in a legendary popular nightclub Apriori in Moscow (Residence is for now).
Nowadays he didn’t left behind his past experience. Homo Ludens prefers elastic minimal tech sound and modern techno with an appropriate toch of deep and progressive. A harmony of union of the different is his mission, a play with the dancefloor is his battlefield, a filigree technics of mixing is his weapon. His discography shows his production versatility and always evolving electronic sound. His energetic sets, full of life and a sensual electronic techno sound, with a touch of house, make him a markable person among Moscow clubber’s community.
DJ Homo Ludens (Pavel Kamynin) is the first russian DJ, who has performed house set in Iraq. It was Happy New Year Party @ Dog & Duck Club (Baghdad, «Global» Military Base Camp UK, dec.31.2005). His mixes are often presents on the best electronic music radiostations in Russia, such as Starnet.FM & 16Bit.FM.
