Named after the connector on a MIDI instrument cable, din_fiv is a personal outgrowth of Da5id Din’s work as a member of Boston’s Informatik. Although the two projects share many similarities, din_fiv is the darker of the two. The music is intentionally sparse and deceptively simplistic. This is because the varied sequences are allowed to stand out on their own, rather than being swallowed up by the multiple layering that is more typical of Informatik.

killing dawn. my listening habits happen in 1-2 year (or more) long waves. Truth is I've had din_fiv in my mp3 collection since way before I got here; I'm just listening to it now because I'm back to concentrating on the electro stuff for the first time since 2006 or so. Speaking of din_fiv (and thinking of infinity disc) does anyone here remember stuff like dive or lassigue bendthaus? ;p

I've just heard din_fiv for the first time after a friend lent me a cd. I'm impressed. Looking forward to hearing more and listening to Informatik.

The tops tracks Through the Looking Glass, We Are, and Infinite Paths...are my top three. Da5id Din is a musical genius, & I actually prefer din_fiv slightly more then Informatik, but both are great...and i'm apalled there aren't more listeners. The music is wonderful; its so very sad,
