There are a number of bands that have the name Code.
1. An experimental Black Metal band featuring members from England and Norway. The current line-up consists of Aort (guitar), Kvohst (vocals) and Viper (bass/backing vocals), with Alsvid (drums) and Andras (guitar) as live members. So far they have released two albums: 2005’s critically acclaimed Nouveau Gloaming, and Resplendent Grotesque in June 2009. Also known as <code>.
2. An electronic outfit that formed in 1991 consisting of Andrew Phillips, Graham Cupples, David Mitchell & Darren Till. The band was hailed as “The Kraftwerk of the 90’s”.
3. Trance recording name of Jared Kesler aka DJ Code.
4. A Japanese rock group existing in 2004-2008.
5. A Limerick Drum & Bass DJ.
6. A brazilian female-fronted thrash metal band from Maceió, Alagoas.

All bands have bad days. Their first performance in London was both exceptional and riddled with huge fuck ups. That said, I deride all who speak ill of their performance at Inferno (which was hands down the highlight of the festival).

I don't know about the soundsystem they had at the gig you attended, or maybe they can blame fatiguness cuz touring isn't easy, but I really doubt that. @kosher_carnage: they played Jesus Fever, I Hold Your Light, In The Privacy Of Your Own Bones, Smother The Crones, The Cotton Optic etc.

Well, Mayhem are still hot, but only because of the relentlessly sinister atmosphere of their last album. The alliances of Kvohst, Aort & Vicotnik deliver at all times.
