Chilled Monkey Brains (A.K.A. CMB, The Brains, or any other moniker that tickles your fancy) is a ska-core band located in Northern Florida. They pride themselves on being as D.I.Y. as possible. They’re constantly throwin’ shows and touring as much as they can, but most importantly rocking out and having a blast at the same time! All seven of the members were or are currently in other Tallahassee local bands such as HOPESICK, CALL FOR FIRE, THE SOULAR SYSTEM, CLOWNPUNCHER, TRIAL BY STONE, POWDERED BLUE and NIGHT NURSES FROM JERSEY. They have all been good friends for a very long time. The unity and camaraderie bleeds through in every live performance. The one constant is that CMB will always have fun and give back to their scene and the community. CMB recorded a 5 song demo to post for listeners on MySpace. Four of those songs are available on Last.FM for FREE DOWNLOAD! In the summer of 2009, the ska band started booking shows regionally and embarked on a three week tour called “Chilled Monkey Brains: Origins Tour”. Lots of goals and future plans have been set including a full length album due out in the Fall of 2009. Thanks for checking out Chilled Monkey Brains. Keep the ska scene alive and spread the word!!
