Calling Ocala is a new name to an old face. The band has been previously known as “Going Through The Motions” throughout the local scene for the last 2 years. The band quickly took off from practicing 2-3 times a week in a basement, to 5+ shows a month, while playing 80+ shows in the last 2 years. The band slowed down for 8 months due to the departure of former front man, Jeremy Witteveen. After remaining band members (Brandon Rodwell, Zack Robinson and Jon Witteveen) spent the time searching and auditioning members for the right fit, they had decided the band had gone through the motions. They all agreed they needed to create their own sound with a hook that wouldn’t let people forget them. With the addition of female vocalist Colleen Carringan, the band has received nothing but positive feedback.

Calling Ocala has picked up their feet and is ready to take a full sprint at doing what they love. With the accomplishment of their debut EP that is set to be released February 14th 2011, having 3 weeks of touring in July of 2010 under their belt, becoming completely tour ready within five months, spending full pay checks on insurance, payments and upgrading gear and countless hours of work, they are out to prove anyone who has ever doubted them that they have what it takes.

The current line up for the band is : Colleen Carrigan, Jon Witteveen, Zack Robinson, Brandon Rodwell, Mike Witzel
