Call Me albert are a blues band based in South Wales, formed originally as a scratch band to provide music for an evening of fundraising for LATCH at the Bridgend Pub in Govilon.

They hit it off and carried on playing together, initially small venues in and around South East Wales and lots of charity gigs: In the Pink breast cancer, GYPT – Gwent young people’s theatre, Gwent poets! to mention but a few. Then started playing larger venues, opening the 2007 Blaenavon blues festival…

Their first album was recored in April 2008. It was recorded ‘live’ over 2 days at Dylan Fowler’s studio Felin Fach in Abergavenny. What you hear is the band ‘live’ in the studio, warts ‘n’ all!
