There are at least three artists known as Aetherius:

1. Aetherius is an artist, hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has self-produced more than four albums worth of original material since 2001.

It is a mixture of , , and . Emphasis on melancholy moods and spacey atmospheres.

Aetherius (a.k.a. Rab Townsend) began at the age of 14 as Dj_StarChild. When he was even younger, Rab liked music that made his heart ‘splode. This was all well and good until the heart-‘sploding music stopped in 2001. Delving into the collective consciousness that is probably the intarweb, Rab discovered the proper utensils and skills with which to make his own heart ‘splode.
This led to the composition and production of two albums’ worth of piano driven ambient dance music entitled ‘Multi-Coloured Breakfast’ and ‘Empty Box of Happiness,’ the latter of which exposing a more experimental edge.
By 2004, after having changed his alias to “Aetherius,” taking plenty of time to improve his skills, and allowing for several changes of influence and style, he composed and produced a third album entitled ‘The Inevitability of Pain (and the stupidity of those who don’t expect it)’ which was a more structured, yet still experimental collection of piano driven ambient songs.
From 2005 to 2006, He worked on his fourth album of original music, which is still tentatively titled “An Experiment in Orbital Displacement.
