  • I love Zykos to death, but there are some monotonous cymbol work in Understanding Fire. Makes a pretty decent song almost unlistenable once your ear tunes into it. Great band regardless, reminds me of quicksand sometimes. Underrated yes, but I was listening them before Okkervil River hit it big. Think I heard about them from Epitonic or Pitchfork.

  • also, i saw them open for Okkervil River here in LA the other day and they were AMAZING. seriously the first time i've seen an opening act that really floored me. Really good stuff.
