1. Zomby Woof , their name a homage to Frank Zappa’s “Mothers of Inventions” composition, were a one shot German symphonic progressive rock band.

2. Zomby Woof is a avantgarde rock/metal band based in Lappeenranta, Finland. Currently on a hiatus, Zomby Woof is writing new songs and gathering strength and musicians to emerge as a live band. Their (for the time being) sole member, guitarist/vocalist Markus Toivonen started his career with Scent Of Flesh, left the band and did a brief appearance in goth/rock scene of Tampere. Toivonen says his excessive shyness is somewhat a burden in trying to survive music scene and business, and slight keeping him from forming a band again. It is also known that he rarely follows what’s happening in music or pop culture.

Zomby Woof, a band from the Swabian town of Reutlingen, named after the Mothers Of Invention song, had been playing keyboard-oriented and highly adorned art rock in the wake of Yes and early Genesis since around 1973. It all began in 1971, when guitarists Heinrich Winter and Udo Kreuß joined Frank Keinath on bass and drummer Thomas Moritz to form a band that had no name and no gigs as yet. Frank Keinath moved away from Reutlingen, and no replacement was to be found. As a consequence, another guitarist, Ulrich Herter, joined the band, and Udo Kreuß changed to bass. Shortly afterwards, Matthias Seelmann-Eggebert on Hammond organ and, subsequently, Matthias Zumbroich on keyboards became band members, which meant that the sound we have come to know later on was created.

This band is such great stuff. I really love both of their albums. Riding on a Tear is a masterpiece of progressive rock and unreleased No Hero is also very good thing with brilliant songs such as Glide Away, Harlequin, Turn Me On. PS: Finally, change the front cover of the band instead this stupid faggot, which one I already hate..
