Biography
A US metalcore/deathcore band formed in 2009, but did not release any albums until 2011, with 1000 Ways To Die. The band went through several name changes, including Death's Obituary and Hentai Suicide, before settling on Zombies On Skyscrapers and went through several different lineups. The core members are Death's Eclipse, Necron, and Josh Winkinstein. It started as Necron's band, founded with Death's Eclipse, though Death's Eclipse has been the only member in every lineup.
The band's sound is mainly deathcore, but often verges on traditional death metal and thrash metal as well as grindcore. Though usually harsh and fast, the music sometimes is somewhat softer and has occasional songs with clean vocals. It is somewhat unique is that it takes influences in some songs from a wide range of genres; including rap, blues, black metal, mediacore, dark ambient, emo, digital hardcore, and film soundtracks.
They can be noted for their dark lyrics, often about the apocalypse and referencing Edgar Allan Poe and Shakespeare.
