Biography

There are at least two bands who go by the name Zero Hour.

1. Zero Hour is a band formed by twin brothers Jasun and Troy Tipton in the bay area of San Francisco, California in 1993.

2. Dark, heavy crust/metal band also from the Bay Area, in the vein of Amebix, Deviated Instinct, and Neurosis. Short lived,with two releases (self titled 7” and a split with Apeface), and not much known about the band itself. The band featured the drummer of Econochrist.

    @the49 I didn't mentioned that he said that. ;) I only commented that drawing comparisons between KC and Zero Hour is pretty irrelevant !! They have totally different music. Besides, he only wanted to troll Zero Hour's singer. (typical Last.fm behaviour). I mean, if he doesn't like the singer, why does he even bother to leave negative comments here? The prog community needs more solidarity than vileness. Just GTFO and get a life. E.g. I also don't like Tool very much, but I don't go to their page to leave negative comments. That's childish and keyboard-warrior behaviour. I mean, Jureiko can hide behind a screen and write 'most ridiculous vocals since KC', but surely, IRL if he went to Zero Hour's singer, face to face, to say that comment, I am pretty sure he was gonna get beaten up.

    I think even prog metal people are not just really or willing to delve into more technical stuff like Zero Hour, Watchtower or Spiral Architect, which require trained prog-ears. Instead the majority of them prefer easy-listening alternative-based nu-metal stuff like Tool. (poser-progsters) The metal magazines are to blame for fans not being very demanding when it comes to high quality prog metal.
