The opening reminds me of The Stranglers' Golden Brown.

Never heard this song before...completely love Zero 7. I can't tell if Sia is doing the vocals.
2 Apr 2010, 9:30am
This song and The Road are the best by far :) love it. Zero 7= sheer genius!
9 Mar 2010, 4:54pm
I love this track, Zero 7 has a real gift for finding talented female singers.
19 Feb 2010, 2:40pm
I'm sooooo in love with song. Awesome stuff!
30 Jan 2010, 8:59pm
i also go for swing and pop art blue, and binki shapiro is indeed the singer on this track.
30 Jan 2010, 3:07pm
Yeah Swing and Pop Art Blue are definitely the best songs on this album. I appreciate that they tried to experiment and go in a new direction on the rest of the album, but it just didn't work for them.

Really nice track this is.

Binki Shapiro is listed in the credits for "Swing" and "Ghost Symbol" http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:3pfexzyaldse If you can find a track featuring Shapiro (search for "kids song"), its clear that's the singer on "Swing". The Independent is the only place I've seen mention of a Jackie Daniels. Its either a stage name (Jack Daniels?) or they are simply mistaken.

Thanks Fudido! I love this vocalist, want to hear her other work
20 Oct 2009, 10:18pm
ok, three people have named 3 different vocalists for this track, lol. I don't think its Martha Tilston. She sings on Pop Art Blue and that is not the same singer that is on this track...I don't think, unless she can really vary the way her voice sounds.
18 Oct 2009, 4:36am
can't get enough of this song. and the sing is binki shapiro, not martha.
15 Oct 2009, 3:53am
The singer's Martha Tilston by the way, she's an English folk singer - not that well known but really good :)
14 Oct 2009, 9:51pm
I`m loving it (: nice voice!
7 Oct 2009, 6:06pm
I thought the intro sounded like Pageant of the Bizarre too, I'm really digging this track, love it.
6 Oct 2009, 3:38pm
such an amazing song, so warm and calming.
3 Oct 2009, 5:23am
nice, there are some sufjan stevens sound in this one
2 Oct 2009, 12:26pm
According to a review in the Independent newspaper (http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/reviews/album-zero-7-yeah-ghost-atlantic-1781354.html), the singer is Jackie Daniels: "...and the mysterious Jackie Daniels, whose wry, jazzy delivery on the lilting waltz shuffle "Swing" sounds a lot like Jolie Holland to these ears."
30 Sep 2009, 3:38pm
always puts me in a good mood, and yes, who is the singer?
28 Sep 2009, 8:07pm
it's got steel drums in it so it's a cool track by definition, but who is the singer?
25 Sep 2009, 2:26pm
The opening sounds like Pageant of the Bizarre
25 Sep 2009, 2:20am
it really gets better with each listen. can't stop listening.
24 Sep 2009, 9:27am
My first thought when hearing the opening was "The Beatles..."
24 Sep 2009, 1:37am
So wonderful, and it gets even better with each listen!
