Biography
*** this is the official ZEN-MEN® last.fm page ***
ZEN-MEN started to transduce their thoughts using musical waves in the year 1995. Two years later, 1997 the first album “men from mars” was released. Several tracks were licensed to various compilations worldwide including Buddha Bar, Café abstrait, SpaceNight, Klassik Lounge and others.
Their music is often described as “special” or “unique”. Well it IS the essence of years of research and studies in e.g. BioFeedback, BioPhotonics, Buddhism, Cymatics, Harmonik(Hans Kayser), Hawking, Hinduism, Kepler, Leonardo da Vinci, LIFE, Metaphysics, Numerology, Plato, Psychology, Overtones, ZEN…
The musical background is based on many years in different music-schools, classical piano, e-bass, trumpet and an exam in Sax, living years in various bands, big bands and jazz combos.
Set and setting are very important elements in the creation of ZEN-MEN’s music. The vocals of “une table à trois” were recorded when Caroline was pregnant in her 9th month. Movements of her unborn daughter can be heard in the original takes. This may also explain “the table for 3”…
It took almost 8 years to complete the 2nd album “you are home”. Many things happened on this tiny, little blue planet and ZEN-MEN were lucky to meet some *unique* artists. Fabian Posca playing the harp on “Hold me” like only Fabian could play it. Isgaard, who also worked with Schiller, sings with her voice from the stars “day by day”, Khoi from Vietnam, Lee Youngme from South-Korea, Nienna Arien the fairy and the one and only DJ Jondal, with his million fans at Klassikradio, speaks in “I am home”.
“you are home” is a journey for 77 minutes through the worlds of ZEN-MEN. The CD’s booklet contains 12 specially created images, one for each song.
