This reminds me much more of the early post-rock experiments of bands like Labradford than anything else. This band's music doesn't even resemble that of bands such as Godspeed, much less imitate it. Anyone who would claim this as to be a mere ripoff of Godspeed is only displaying their laughable ignorance of post-rock music as a whole.

Can't believe I didn't make a shout two years ago when I heard their first album to secure my hipster cred. Listening to the new album, which I just found out about. Glad to see that the mystery is still there and that beautiful guitar tone.

I can't believe how quickly the hype surrounding this escalated from someone (most likely a member) spamming it everywhere to people actually thinking it's good.

Where are the days people could just put on a record, sit back and enjoy listening, instead of worrying who they ripped off, how they promoted it or how they accomplished their sound? If you can't enjoy this band, just move along, stop making a scene.

You've gotta have pretty limited musical knowledge to just write this band off as a GYBE clone.Godspeed are not the originators of post-rock nor were they even close to being the first band to use samples/spoken word. I'm much more reminded of early post-rock bands like Cul de Sac and Bark Psychosis as opposed to GYBE.

I'd rather promote my material in more tasteful ways than spamming it in /mu/.
