Stop press########July 2011 has seen the release of Yul Emir’s second album The Emirali Inertia. It took six years to complete and has been hailed as a work of genius by musicians, critics and pidgeons alike. It is released on iTunes and from many other download sites.

Yul Emir AKA Yul Emirali is a London based piano/keyboard player who has been playing for 30 years. See him performing live in this video
He has developed a compositional style and improvisational jazz piano style by doodling for long periods on a keyboard and playing with many people. This style continues to develop as he doodles and plays, producing fecund wet patches, which at times can produce some extremely undesirable moments.

He was one of the first people to be on the internet with a sax lead jazzy funky quartet called NE Key ( this link no longer exists) in 2001 back in the days when internet music was in nappies and music was submitted for criteria perusal.

Since then studio work has taken precedent.

Good tunes. Do you upload any with the drums stripped out or faded real low? My old ears can't take them these days & it gives me tinnitus!

"Fecund wet patches, which at times can produce some extremely undesirable moments." I don't know if I love that statement or am repulsed by it.

I really enjoy the freewheeling style in your video. I'd love to hear your own crazy very of On Green Dolphin Street or Maiden Voyage. I think that would be really cool to listen to as well. The songs somewhat remind me of Miles Davis' On the Corner Album. Great stuff. Good luck.
