“Boston Dark Electronic pioneers You Shriek elegantly defy classification creating a unique sound on the threshold of a new genre.”
Founded in the early 1990’s, the band quickly gained a devoted Boston following, drawing enthusiastic crowds at the local venues. A cover of Bauhaus’ “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” featured on the now-legendary Oxygen Denial vinyl compilation brought them an international underground club hit in 1992. After a hiatus from live work in the late 90’s to write, record, and produce a full length disc (among other projects), You Shriek have re-emerged on the New England live scene as an A-list underground act. You Shriek’s current work, “Unreal Cities”, takes the listener through a broad range of emotion and musical versatility. By combining poignant melodies with exquisitely orchestrated instruments, You Shriek define a new movement in progressive music.
