Reminds me a whole lot of The Velvet Underground's third album.

Oh hey, has anyone remarked yet that the word fakebook is similar to the word facebook? What a crazy occurrence! Yo La Tengo has a page on Facebook! Coincidence? I don't think so.

A quirky indie movie? Come on. This album deserves better than that. At least you didn't say something about Facebook, though.

Impossible to hate this album. Sounds like the soundtrack to a quirky indie movie.

I like this version of Did I Tell You? even more than the original. Same for Barnaby. and though Ira doesn't have Cat Stevens' voice, I still very much love his Here Comes My Baby...

you people have to be kidding me with all these facebook comments. a Fake Book is a book with hundreds of chord changes/leads to standards that jazz musicians use to play songs quickly. the name of this album is obviously referring to that because this is an album of covers that they're implying should be common/standards.

not really making fun of Facebook as this album was released in 1990, way before Facebook was even an idea. just a mere coincidence. Maybe they should re-release it...
