Not my favourite of theirs, but this is the album that cemented my love for Yo La Tengo. This is pop at its finest.

Why does this have so few listens? This is on par with I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One if not even better.

Quite possibly one of the greatest albums of all time. (That statement does not come lightly, but after serious reflection over a decade of playing and listening to music).

This one's a grower. Yo La Tengo pulls off the fuzzy sound really well.

i alternate between this and Painful as my favorite YLT album. Even though they're not a shoegaze band, they made better use of the trademark sound, making it central to actual pop songs instead of playing with reverb until 'atmosphere' was achieved. Blue Line Swinger is the king of this.
