  • RELEASE SOLO ALBUM fuuuuuuuu
  • I <3 Jim James aka Yim Yames. I was fortunate enough to meet him last month when he played with New Multitudes, a collaboration with him and a few others who created songs from unreleased Woody Guthrie lyrics. My music world is now more open to folk because of JIm James and his amazing music. I have been a fan of MMJ since Z and a huge fan of Jim James. This tribute album is wonderful.

  • EP is only 99 cents on amazon today! http://www.frugalgadgets.com/amazon-mp3-daily-deal.php
  • Nice intimate EP. Kinda takes you back to MMJ's EP Acoustic Citsuoca. Great voice.
  • tagging him as "conor oberst" or "m ward"seems kinda silly.
  • coolest moniker ever,perhaps.
  • Ohh I get it. Another lesson I learned from watching Anchorman. "Jogging or yogging. It might be a soft J..."
  • fix your tags.
  • So lovely. Can't believe this gem was hidden away for 8 years.
  • @luis10599: he actually recorded this many moons ago (2001 in Shelbyville, KY- which sucks, by the way- after George's passing), so he didn't really "bring back" the reverb. in any case, he has a lot of natural reverb quality in his voice so he has never really stopped using it.
  • beautiful ep
  • glad he brought back the reverb. :)
  • Great EP!
  • muteoff: it is a play on the soft j sound. ya know, like "yazz flute" instead of "jazz flute". ju know?
  • Elective Affinity
  • I don't really get the whole y's instead of j's thing, but Jim James delivers pure, unadulterated awesomeness as usual.
  • clever moniker, jim.
  • i like the sound of this yim yames character...
  • George Harrison would be proud :)
