This is a fantastic album, the whole thing, but I've got to agree that 2080 is my favorite. And I must admit that even the pieces that are a bit edgier than my usual taste are extremely well done! Also, I think vinyl would be just brilliant.

usually the first tracks of an album appear as top tracks in last.fm, because people seem to not listen to the entire album. this time they earn to be first place. ~ by/e (//)/(()

Whenever I listen to Yeasayer I feel like I'm in some crazy cult, with the chanting and drums and yelping. But, it's like the best fucking cult on the planet.

    November 2007
  • vangelicmonk

I heard the band and others describe it as gospel along with other descriptions. I have heard the music that is very good, but I don't see where gospel comes in, but their sound is so diverse. I don't know. Anybody clarify that to me?

    November 2007
  • jimmydeee

guys, you're listening to world music, accept it. abandon the ambiguous attempts to classify it in relation to everything else original in the last 5 years. you've found yourself in the strange place where you now listen to the same music as your parents have sex to. good luck!

  • billynoskills

2080 got me on first listen but the rest of this album has taken its time to slowly seep into my soul and it has now completely taken me over. GOSH. Anyone that hasn't already needs to buy this album and immerse yourself in it.
