Biography

Yasmin Gate is an artist concentrating on electronic and industrial music. In addition to her own tracks, she has done several collaborations with artists from techno, ebm, industrial, and electroclash scene (see list below).

Yasmin Gate is otherwise known as a former member of the band Dirty Princess. She later ventures onto the dance floors on her own, releasing her first track “No Fear” on David Carreta’s label “Space Factory”. Her solo project consists of a refreshing, yet classic sound: dark beats with hypnotic voices that make you move.

Yasmin Gate has later appeared on several single releases: This is A Test (2012) and Spinning Around (2013). She has also frequently contributed to releases from Equitant, and exists as a separate entity Equitant & Yasmin Gate with a single release “That’s all” and its countless remixes.

Her debut album “YG The Album” was released on Space Factory records and included many collaborations which resulted in a varied and sophisticated release.

Yasmin Gate often performs live which is an innovative audiovisual experience. She illuminates the stage with her vocals and charismatic presence, and plays her custom, never seen before instrument, the Dsumi (DS Unconventional MIDI Instrument).

Yasmin Gate has done many collaborations, of which many appear on her album and single releases, with following artists:

Douglas McCarthy - Lips
Equitant - That’s All, Electro Body, Let Me Be On
Strange Connection - Number 4
The Chaenge - Love Devotion
Kaball - Recollect Me
