Also about YOHIO being "far ahead of most indie VK": that scene is already utter shit so It makes no difference whatsoever. You guys really should consider checking The Radio Dept. (great shoegaze band from Sweden).

Yohio pretty much pinpointed what made newer VK bands lose their creativity and infused it with Eurovision-level cookie cutter music...and should I really care about musical charts of my neighbor? Talent and able to express something uniquely/creatively =/= sky-high in the charts

Goddamn you, neighbors! @velocantide: People who don't generalize by saying that "ALL VK IS/WAS CRAP" etc. - remember, each scene/genre had its most creative eras at certain years, like say - VK was something creative back in late 90s/early 2000s

"BREAK the BORDER" is No.1 in the Swedish Album Charts, one week after its release. YOHIO has had signsessions this week all through Sweden and there has even been several new records in amount of people visiting a shopping mall.

This argument should be used for everything from bridge building to politics. [2] That really isn't a decent argument to support any artist release, to be quite honest. Besides, it's not even appropriate in comparison to YOHIO's album because that one wasn't good. But I also second ColdNRG, if he had been Japanese people would've been fapping over this like wildfire. Not to mention the album is mostly inspired on a generation of a scene that's been generally split up in either blahcore or happy pop-rock filled with synths. This isn't much different from a mix of those two. It's like you mix up bands like DIV and Kameleo with influences from MEJIBRAY and D.I.D.

" I'd like to see any of you to actually go out and make music and make it good." Oh fuck you got me there. This argument should be used for everything from bridge building to politics.

The new album is pretty good, I'd like to see any of you to actually go out and make music and make it good.

The visual kei hivemind loves to bash anything they can because somewhere along the way hating everything was equated with having selective taste. OTOH, I don't much care for his music but still...if he was Japanese there'd be legions of basement dwellers fapping to his every picture.

I seriously wonder what people have against YOHIO, or is it just fun to bash on western people who try their way in Japan?

"YOHIO might not make the most innovative music ever...and considering his age, he's pretty much far ahead of most indie VK already". I'd scratch out the good part because of ~subjectivity~ and the fact that he's pulling inspiration from a scene you stated was out of ideas in the last sentence. He needs to find his own sound instead of trying to pander to fickle 16 year olds who will praise him one moment and crucify him the next.

Favorite album 2013 ☆ YOHIO is really good! Fuck those Vkei kids who aren't giving him a chance!! ITS RACIST and REALLY SAD. Just because he isn't Japanese doesn't mean he can't make JAPANESE LIKE music. People like you make me sad and sick. YOHIO keep going ☆☆☆ Wow, INNOCENCE is pretty brutal and eerie, cool stuff [3]

I don't really know what an "appropriate" approach to VK is or should be, given the fact that most music from that scene is bland as hell and badly written, with few exceptions inbetween. YOHIO might not make the most innovative music ever, but he's still good and considering his age, he's pretty much far ahead of most indie VK already. That's what I think at least, I won't argue with other people's opinions, as everyone's entitled to having one.
