Biography
Santiago Ferrer, also known as Santi Xpansul, started djing in 1993. Since then, he has played in most of the biggest clubs and festivals all over Spain and Europe.
Regarding music styles, after more than thirteen years behind the decks, we could say that Santi Xpansul’s sound is techno. Nowadays, his sets are a journey through electronic dance music, in which the “axis” Detroit-Chicago-Berlin-Cologne is the driver and all his other musical influences are the passengers.
Since 1998, Santi starts writing and producing music as well, and has already released in labels such as Plus 8, Truesoul, Isoghi, Audiodrome, Random Dynamics, Software, Syl.Label, Complex, SoundPlant, Options, Discos de Lata, MSX, Sindicato….
He has included as well several tracks in compilations and Original Sound Tracks (La Fura dels Baus last play, XXX), and has remixed a great deal of well known artists.
His productions have been supported by some of the most influential Djs of the international scene, being played and appearing in charts of artists such as Richie Hawtin, Magda, Troy Pierce, Joel Mull, Alexi Delano, Adam Beyer, Miss Kittin, Jaumëtic, John Dahlbäck, Djinxx, Oliver Lieb, Marco Carola, Ángel Molina, Laurent Garnier, Leandro Gámez, Dj Hell, Fabrice Lig, Jori Hulkkonnen, James Holden, Tiga, …
