Almost dead by 7. Insomnia since he was 8. Diagnosed as utterly fucked at 12. It was obvious music was going to have to pop out of all this shit.
XO tries to make experiences more than music, layering in as many sounds heard and even slightly unheard. Melding many genres, creating atmosphere and making people who listen, feel something. Be it anger, frustration, happiness or utter heartbreak, XO pours emotion into each an every song, and then bakes it on high at 180 degrees for at least 66 minutes. If needed, the swoops chopped from three or four screaming emo kids can be used as a garnish.

Well when XO is approached by those huge magazines to do interviews he is often quoted as saying “Fuck knows and thats nice enough I think”
What is your favourite part of making music? (Joe from USA)
He has claimed that when its done it as though a weight is lifted from his shoulders. He also claims they drain him emotionally. He seems rather sad, where’s HIS emo swoop right???? hahahahaha. Oh and he told me he likes the felling of knowing he’s touched someone with his music. (gay much?)
