Surprised to see that there aren't that many Vargtimmen Pt. I & II tracks in the top charts here. Should be more Vargtimmen and less The Ghost Album, I'd say.

These guys are just fucking good. Period. The general style they play may be one that lots of band play, but yet they still do it differently, and with skill! It never gets boring, and they do many different things with their music that others do not, like the lower guitar tones you don't typically see in black metal (almost adding a doomy or black 'n' roll feel), and the instruments they use for the folk aspect of their music varies in an interesting way as well. Very diverse, progressive, and fresh music!

My favorite Wyrd release is probably The Ghost Album. I'm probably a black sheep among their fans.

Amen to that. Early Wyrd is awesome. The newer albums fail too capture me, even if they are still decent music.

I like all albums of WYRD, but I failed to understand "Kalivagi":( I didn't like it at all. As for WYRD's early albums, they are brilliant!

Early Wyrd is amazing stuff. Most hypnotic bm i've heard since Drudkh. But the Katatonia worship on later albums is .. meh. I wish they'd have stuck to their earlier sound, or at least evolved in an interesting way.
