Biography

Wreckage is the name of more than one artist.

1) Wreckage was a Belgian thrash band with two demos: Sight the five from 1994 and Confusedfrom 1996. They are currently split up.

2) WRECKAGE is the band of TONY LESTAT from the USA, who was a very active man in the late 80s/early 90s Gothic-scene in the USA. His bands LIKE WRECKAGE and the follow-up WRECKAGE were very active and here we get a fine collection of rare and unreleased tracks of typical US-Death-Rock at its best. Coming from the same musical womb as bands like Empire Hideous, Deep Eynde and others, here we hear best Goth-Punk with a very big 80s touch. Do you like Screams For Tina? Try out WRECKAGE (it does not wonder, that various WRECKAGE members went on to play with Warren Mansfield of Screams For Tina on the CD-release!). We find William Faith of Faith And The Muse also in the early period of this band, so the circle closes. WRECKAGE present a very loveable B-Movie character and seems to be more Gothic than Punk. (A.P.)

3) WRECKAGE is a hardcore punk band from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland

Actually Tony Lestat produced some of the "better" compilations that were distributed by Cleopatra Records (largely because he put more effort into a unified theme vs. insert songs for no good reasons). One of my favorite compilations Tony Lestat put out (fuck me is it out of print) would be the CHILDREN OF THE DAMNED: A 20TH ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE TO THE DAMNED on the Mere Mortal / Apollyon Records (1996) - I wish Tony would remaster /release this gem someday ... a teag bag for anyone with nothing nice to say about an original band out of So. California Uber Alles ~(^)~

"Subway's End" sounds like a classic mid-period Damned cut.
