Wounded Souldiers is a jam-reggae-funk band with roots in the New Hampshire underground party scene since early 2001. Composed of core members Brady Watt, Chris Warren and Derek Talbott and a loose collecitve of musicians from northeast New England, the band currently includes pianist Zak Showkeir, percussionist Doug Smith (also of the Il Papas) and drummer Jon Reilly (also of Big D and the Kids Table). Since their founding (under the name Drunk on Funk) the band has had a changing line-up but has always maintained a constantly changing sound steeped in the tradition of alternative jam forebearers like Sublime and Dispatch. With several unofficial releases such as the now infamous “John Paul Sessions” and many bootlegged concert albums the band’s EP debut “A Very Franky Fish” is slated for release in early 2007 on the People’s Instinctive Records label.
