Wonky Finger is the name that Roger Stevens uses for his music. After playing in an R&B band in the 60s, he played in a theatrical rock band, Rubber Rhino, in the 70s; a comedy rock band, the Killer Rabbits (catch their videos on You Tube) in the 80s and a Deep Purple Tribute Band, Perfect Strangers, in the 90s. He’s now with Damn Right I Got the Blues, featuring Ken Follett and Floella Benjamin.

The First Wonky Finger CD, Live at Staplecroft Village Hall, is his first attempt at making an album on his computer. He played all the instruments except for lead guitar by James Follett. It’s a bit rough and ready but can be found on the Rabbit Press website.

The second album, At the Meeting of the Earth and the Air, is better, as Roger starts to get the hang of recording. It features songs written in the late sixties at art college and has that slightly psychadelic summer of love feel.

Poems in Space was a bit of fun, written with Michael Leigh, family and friends.

Wonky Finger demos is just that. Odd bits and pieces written over the years.

The new album proper is being written over the internet with Big Al Davies, Ron Bookless and Michael Leigh. It should be ready early 2009.
