I hardly use anymore but every month I have to come back and check on this shoutbox. This might as well be the only women specific "forum" on the internet. I don't know what I do without you other women obsessives.

i've always wanted to see that documentary. i used to be so fascinated by their implosion because i think they're one of the best bands i've ever heard, and they're canadian, and i saw them one or two nights before they broke up forever (was at the Liars/Women show in Ottawa). also, i remember hearing a Fels-Naptha song that got me soooo fucking pumped and then nothing ever came of it. going to see Viet Cong next month and Each Other are also great and are filling the void ps. this is my favourite Lastfm shoutbox and i check back once every few months. RIP chris

Yeah, this demo is incredibly great. I'd like to have a physical copy if they release it eventually.

Here's Fels Naptha: They changed their name to "Phil's Knapsack" due to lawsuit from actual Fels-Naptha soap company. I had been searching for this demo for a couple of years and finally found it a while ago. Some dude posted a link here and I was lucky to google it:

anyone know if any recording ever surfaced from Fels-Naptha? I know for a sec I heard it was going to happen but now I'm questioning it. imo Fels was the best thing that came post-women. also I feel like so many bands that rip off women end up sounding way too poppy. I still dig hearing these new bands though

@sleepingpill23: A more up to date list: Pat is in Cindy Lee, and was briefly half of Androgynous Mind, which put out a very good EP some time ago. Matt and Mike are part of Viet Cong.

@msturg80 - regarding the pitchfork videos, I read somewhere that Women werent really happy with those videos and asked their label manager to get pitchfork to take them down. I found this video clip for the CMJ cake shop -

Does anyone know where I can find the video of their 4 songs taped at CMJ Cake Shop in 09' and Pitchforks four songs they did in the abandon warehouse? They all use to be on but since have been taken down.
