Wolfmangler is a / project formed in 2004 in Texas, United States but has now been reborn in Kraków, Poland.

Wolfmangler is the musical vision of D. Smolken, a Polish political emigre, formerly of Dead Raven Choir and Garlic Yarg. His music is slow, grim, noisy and shambling, a deconstructed hybrid of twisted and hinterland . Bowed double bass, electric bass and violin merge with sinister growls and whispered lyrics as Wolfmangler improvise dissonant doom riffs around lyrics taken from Hank Williams Jr., Georg Trakl and others, rich with the symbolism of life and decay.

Wolfmangler create a listening experience at once unsettling, twisted and darkly beautiful.

The original lineup consists of :

D. Smolken - bass guitar, vocals, cello banjo, umber hulk.

    Well this isn't funeral doom per-se, they call it funeral doom folk - to be honest sounds more like dark ambient folk...with...the sound of wolves being stirred in a pot, minus the howling....maybe wolves wth muzzles on...weird...weird...stuff...well, the weirdest.
